Etienne Cliquet's Floating, Moving Origami

French artist Etienne Cliquet has developed a beautiful form of micro origami with a mesmerizing twist. After precisely cutting and folding a small square of paper (using tweezers, mind you), he then carefully places the resulting sculpture on the surface of water. As capillary action pulls moisture through the paper, the tiny sculpture appears to blossom as it unfolds. This video shows several pieces from his series "Flotilla" as they morph.

After a long time of not knitting I've restarted a red hat. I've knit this one before [1] but have been meaning to make another and keep notes to create a pattern, and to not make quite as many glaring mistakes this time. The original red hat has become my favorite, my earlobes stay warm and somehow it manages to be cute, or at least Scott [2] insists it's cute and you cannot trust him since insisting I'm cute is sort of his job.
