May Birthday Giveaway: lovely things from Joy the Baker

What's going on here? My site started ten years ago this month and to celebrate I?m giving away something each weekday. Because I like you. Today's giveaway is from Joy the Baker [1], it's a bunch of stuff she likes and thinks you might like too. When I asked her originally I thought her book (she's gonna have a book coming out!) would be a great thing to giveaway, but it turns out the book is still a long ways off. But, being sweet as she is, she jumped in a offered to get together some good things, because she's nice like that. She also hinted that there would be a few additional surprises included. If you'd like to win the care package from Joy please leave a comment with this post, you have until 10 a.m. on Friday, May 20th to enter, the fine print [2] applies. If you'd like something to mention please tell us: Do you have a favorite kitchen gadget? I have recently been introduced to the new style of can openers that don't leave a sharp edge and refuse to look back (I am clumsy in the kitchen). Ok, good luck everybody! Closed! Thanks so much for entering. [1] http://www.joythebaker.com/ [2] http://www.notmartha.org/the-fine-print/

[1] Hi there! Today is a stop on the blog book tour for 1, 2, 3 Sew [2]: Build Your Skills with 33 Simple Projects?Bags, Accessories, Home Accents, and More written by Ellen of The Long Thread [3]. The book is filled with happy and useful projects and has a whole section for organizers. If you head on over the the book's page [4] you can find a preview of some pages, and you can also see the book trailer on YouTube [5]. It's stop motion and I'm sort of in love with it. [6] There is also a free tutorial for the Market Tote [7] which is completely adorable. I must make one. [8] Next up on the blog book tour is Modern Kiddo [9], and you can see the whole schedule right over here [10]. [1] http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0811876497/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=notma...
